For what it's worth, the amount of fentanyl seized appeared to be 54kg, less than I weigh.

They also seized 390kg worth of meth, and firearms, which I would be more concerned about than fentanyl but hey.

The "enough to kill x people" numbers get funny with fentanyl since even enough to fit inside a pen would probably be enough to kill a few hundred, maybe a few thousand? I'm not doing the math.

Describing quantities of chemicals by how many people it could kill is a bit sensationalist. For instance, a truck load of bleach is enough to kill 20 thousand people. It sounds scary, but it's barely noteworthy otherwise.

A truck load of bleach isn't intended for human consumption, a smuggled load of fentanyl is. That's a critical difference.

Besides, if truck loads of bleach were routinely killing thousands of people a year, we'd be freaking out about truck loads of bleach too.

44k people per year in the US are poisoned by bleach, sometimes leading to serious injury, blindness and death. You can make anything sound worse than it actually is with a little creativity. But when you see sensationalist claims like above, be prepared for someone to sell you a bill of goods.
