New Port Richey council OKs police agreement with ICE

"The agreement would have city police officers trained by ICE, acting on that agency’s behalf and reporting to ICE when it conducts “operations” within the city limits."

It seems problematic to convert local cops into a de facto extension of a federal LEO.

The point of local LEO is to focus on the actual needs of that community.

And we already have federal LEO to perform federal LEO duties.
