Oh no doubt it's my favorite backend way to build an API. Just toss in SpringBoot or Quarkus and it's very nice. The only thing that bothers me is that it's a pain to use with NeoVim.

Yes, I believe that the constraints on Kotlin features are determined to a large extent by the capabilities of IDEA.

At the risk of mixing cause and effect, Kotlin is IDEA shaped.
