Is there anything new here? I thought this pretty much is dead. Most models available in Sherpa onnx and piper right?

Piper is also dead, though it's also still the best option for local TTS on low-spec devices.

Kokoro is probably best local TTS overall if your target platform and hardware support it.

Kokoro is missing a lot of relevant languages.

Piper isn’t dead. I know because I’ve been working with the team recently

Could you ask them to look at my open PR then? The macOS build has been broken for well over a year: https://github.com/rhasspy/piper/pull/678
