A few months ago, I stumbled on a Huberman Lab episode about ADHD. He shared a deceptively simple exercise called “Elevated Vision” — a research-backed method to train focus by balancing central attention and peripheral awareness.

The concept is really simple:

- Stare at a central object → Keep your gaze locked on it → → Mentally note everything in your periphery without shifting focus.

But here's the problem: practicing this IRL is HARD. Your brain fights distractions, your eyes cheat, and I had to give up after 10 seconds the first time.

So I built Centrate: a free, science-backed web app that gamifies Huberman’s technique. No subscriptions. No ads. Just focus training that works.

How It Works: Open Centrate on your phone → Focus on the central orb (no cheating!) → New objects appear in your periphery automatically → You should notice them and tap — without moving your eyes

Longer streaks = harder challenges

It’s like lifting weights for your attention span.

In a world of infinite scroll, Centrate teaches your brain to choose focus over distraction. If you find it challenging to focus, this app could help you as well.

Pro tip: Do 3-minute sessions daily. After a week, you’ll catch yourself resisting distractions without trying.
