It doesn't have to be that way no? As soon as we start realigning economic systems to value labor more than capital again I think we will find meaningful pursuits in all business areas.

Edit: and yes, I am all too aware of the "market can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent" adage as applied to this situation.
