What engineers get wrong about communication

People tend to hoard information because they are incentivized to hoard information: it has a real benefit for individuals in many companies, particularly in terms of job security.

> The solution is to make communication legible: write it down and work in public.

This is not the solution. Removing the influencing forces that incentivize knowledge hoarding is the solution.
