I hope they continue to work on Vision Pro 2-3. It is clear the potential are there. But I need Rec2020 screen, higher PPI, 2-4x refresh rate. Half latency response time. All of that requires 10X GPU driving it while reducing energy usage and makes it much lighter weight.

Basically I think they are 3-5 years too early for first version. But that is OK I guess with current Apple. They could afford to continue to work on this project until 2030.

It all falls down on Tim Cook. Can the board punish him for his decision to literally ignore Siri for the last 15 years? Even when ChatGPT entered the public consciousness several years ago, he still didn’t get the company going in the direction of Gen AI. This signals that he might not be fit for Apples current and future challenges. He failed to bring the car to market and Vision Pro headset has been DOA. And now the AI debacle.

Contrary to the popular belief, outside of the core tech spectrum, i dont think a normal user gives a damn about Siri, let alone use it regularly to notice any difference (it still sets timers ) , as long as the iPhone does its job Tim cooks job is safe. But to your point, if its deteriorates further, then yeah

Siri needs (has needed for years) capital-P Product leadership, but instead it’s been a research project looking for a technology solution.
