Cake is watching you: I built a camera cake

What is this Viam? Looks like something like NodeRed? There are too many AI related buzzwords in the website and I am genuinely not able to understand what the product and the (opensource?) viam-server is about.

I think lightbulb cameras would be better for long term surveillance.

Naturally connected to a long term power supply and easier to hide cabled networking to avoid emissions.

Extracting faces might be more difficult, but that’s “just a software problem”.

once the article started listing the software and hardware components, I was expecting a recipe for the cake too :)

You can print images on cakes.

You could make a cake that takes pictures and gives you a cake with the picture.

I appreciate the hardware side but shuddered when I read the words “cake mix.”

if "competition is for losers" is the axiom, "confectionary roboticist" literally takes the cake. very cool. very inspirational

"The cake is a lie"

Covered with eyes: biblically correct angel food cake.
