They would not have any living conditions (i.e. would not live at all), because they only live for the purpose of being eaten.
That line of thinking only leads to a conclusion where you should already have fathered a few dozen children, as otherwise you're depriving them of any living conditions.
And ate them?
At least get some blood transfusions out of the deal!
