Subsonic Weapon used on the crowd in Belgrade today

This is terrifying, all that during a calm protest. I hope the people will stay strong, this is exactly what they are up against.

And it being "non-lethal" or harmless or whatever isn't really true when panicking large crowds easily can kill hundreds. Super dangerous.

But I guess that could even be the point. Make it dangerous to protest, but avoid images of firing into the crowd, can blame the protestors for "killing each other" or so.

Watching that looks like something out of a movie you wouldn't think is real. That looks terrifying.

Another video, from a different angle:

I've been collecting "directed energy" articles for years now, for anyone that would like to know more: https://www.reddit.com/r/DirectedEnergyWeapons/

This was apparently during a moment of silence for the dead. This sort of thing has been rumored to be related to Havana Syndrome and will apparently cause permanent damage. Not that the folks deploying it are concerned about that.

Rumors of some sort of Russian sonic weapon being behind the "Havana Syndrome" have been going around for years. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COWTBEl1rRc

Serbia has been Russia's closest ally for decades, with Russia having its side in the wars of the 90s. Perhaps such a weapon would have been provided to support the current pro-Moscow government.

Alternatively (and more likely) the Serbian government could've simply bought an LRAD device from the United States: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long-range_acoustic_device

Which

Most of the research on this, has been done in the US though...

This is in effect the easiest means of crowd dispersal. It's a stunner if now they don't install it at the White House and Capitol buildings.

It might work the first time, but as someone commented elsewhere, people will come back, with the means to defeat/counter it by some means or another. It's pretty stupid to escalate peaceful protest like this, unless you want the conflict to escalate. Maybe that's exactly the intent, to justify extreme response to any escalation by protestors.

Most protestors are so silly that they still don't even wear face shields and gas masks to shield themselves from basic pepper spray or tear gas used by law enforcement. Every obstruction lowers the number of truly prepared protesters.

As for protection from weaponized infrasound, it could require a full-body metamaterial shield to deflect all incoming infrasound. And microwaves as we know require a faraday cage to dissipate them, but even then there can be some penetration near the boundary of the cage.

This one was posted first, so the one you linked is the "dupe" :P
