Sadly, Trump thinks because he was elected, he now owns the government and can do whatever he wants with it. Like a toy. If you didn't take any of this into account when buying military equipment, you'd be incompetent to say the least.

No one has yet to give him reason to believe otherwise.

Only after he causes enough pain for his base/money source will he do his flip-flop routine--but by then the news cycle will have moved on and his voting base will still think he is the best thing for America since sliced bread.

This should be one of those pain points, though.

Like a CEO who provides defense as a service. Unfortunately, customers don't like that model.

But also, buying USA military equipment is worthwhile signal that your relationship remains cuddly.
