Tiling is now built in to MacOS if you want to give that a try:

Equivalent to manually binding in System Settings -> Keyboard -> Keyboard Shortcuts -> App ShortcutsI use all of those except center, plus Cmd+Ctrl+[left, right] for top quarters left and right, and Cmd+Ctrl+Shift+[left, right] for lower quarters left and right.
