I don’t think in the story of a 16 year old boy being killed because of being mistaken for somebody else, the problem being that the weapon - a knife - was obtained illegally. I reckon a regular legal kitchen knife is able to stab somebody pretty similarly to an illegal one.

If somebody was strangled by a shoelace, should we look at how the shoelace was imported?

Focus on mental health, focus on defusing situations, focus on better policing and protection. This is useless.
