Regarding JS - we are aiming for the modern device user. I understand that security is a thing, but in 2025, few sites work without JS.
Most other questions are simply because we made highly opinionated choices.
In terms of edit and delete — so many people take advantage of edits and deletions which isn’t natural. You can’t do that in real life.
As for legal and illegal - if it’s legal in the US it is legal here!
