The thing is, Dimon isn’t the company. He would like to think he is. But he’s also just an employee. If the “company” is going to decide, that opinion should come from at least a larger set of managers that are closer to the experiences of workers on the ground. The company isn’t deciding anything - Dimon personally is, without data on why remote work is bad, and likely without transparency on his real motivations.
The tug of war for control in the labor market continues, and those used to control are not happy. These outbursts are the symptom.
