The Kubernetes Mirage: When Scaling Up Becomes Your Greatest Downfall

One of the biggest problems of startups blindly using k8s is attempting to 'scale up' and having this foolish belief that they are Google or any other FAANG company and must burn hundreds of thousands of dollars a month on K8s to achieve scalability. A few points:

1. You are not Google. (Google and other FAANG companies spend much more than that are can as their operating costs are in the hundreds of millions whilst still being profitable.)

2. You do not face the same challenges as those companies.

3. Failure to understand why sometimes you may not need K8s and not addressing its hidden cost management will lead your startup to a massive bill and ultimately shutting down.
