What Do Van Halen and Brown M&M's Have to Do with Safety?

This reminds me of the Orange Juice Test which was (along with my favorite, "Stop Metric Madness!") part of the recurring lore of The Whole Earth Catalog.

A major company has an annual meeting at a hotel at which all employees are expected to attend. The company's event planner gives the following spiel to the managers of prospective hotels:

Our CEO has a long-standing tradition. In the opening session of our annual meeting, he has us all raise a glass of freshly-squeezed orange juice. It must be freshly-squeezed. Can you provide 2,000 glasses of freshly-squeezed orange juice for our opening session?

If the manager says no, he doesn't get the contract.

If he says yes right away, he doesn't get the contract.

If he stops and thinks for a while before answering yes, he gets the contract.
