India to spend $62B to build 30 GW of nuclear power

Compared to PV, according to ChatGPT:
* Low-end estimate ($800 per kW): 30,000,000 kW × $800 = $24 billion.
* High-end estimate ($1,500 per kW): 30,000,000 kW × $1,500 = $45 billion.
In 2047, when it should be completed (not counting delays – for which nuclear construction is renowned), i wonder how even more cheaper PV will be.
PVs are already a massive part of India's energy strategy [0][1], but building a domestic private sector nuclear program also helps develop the partnerships needed to fully flesh out domestic nuclear submarine manufacturing for indigenous second strike capabilities [2]
A lot of people don't realize that France and India's defense and R&D partnership is quite strong because France (and Israel) was the only western country to not sanction India due to their nuclear tests. It's helped lead to French, Israeli, and Indian companies in the defense and energy industries co-selling with each other (eg. Indonesia Naval Tender, Vietnam Naval Tender)
Basically, what Germany was for China is what France is for India.
