Just like robotic cars, the first 90% of the effort will come easy and the remaining 10% will take decades to perfect. They're going to need AGI to fully replace the intuition and knowledge integration of a dev.
Exactly, self driving for example on paper seems like an easy task to automate, you only need to make a decision for the upcoming 2 seconds, and still sucks at it, because it needs 100% accuracy, 90% is fatal and useless
It's easy to compile and run a program. It's hard to accurately simulate driving.
