IMHO, each question raises serious intellectual issues and issues of 'applied' moral reasoning. For example, when do you sacrifice yourself and when do you live to fight another day - and when does the latter help the enemy's morale and destroy your own? What if you are the leader, and who is or isn't a leader, and what if it seems that nobody will follow you? Must you do more than, effectively, charge the machine gun to certain death - that is, under enormous pressure and difficult odds, come up with a winning plan?
