Go's new map implementation in 1.24 is powered by Swiss Tables

https://abseil.io/about/design/swisstables I found more useful in explaining the details of Swiss Tables.

Also of note: - Go's Swiss Table implementation is inspired by Cockroachdb's Swiss Table implementation which is inspired by Google's Abseil Swiss Table.

Easier to skip the X link and go straight to GitHub imo.

A presentation on this was in Fosdem, video also available.

The performance increase is to be seen yet.

Huh. Swiss tables have been available in Abseil for a long time, what took them so long?
