I love this idea, but it seems to be literally picking random Wikipedia pages. I think there needs to be some kind of filtering for significance/interest/etc. in order for it to be viable. Otherwise I’m stuck reading about the bus station in Bedford, Indiana and equivalently impactful articles. Maybe it is intentionally boring, but I think you need to meet people halfway at least.
I feel like it would be more useful if it recorded what people clicked through to and then just showed you those. No need to weight this too much, just exclude the things that people never click on.
I feel like the featured articles are good if that's what you want. The archives go back like 20 years.
the problem is that wiki can become its own doom world, doom editing and creating dozens, hundreds or thousands of more pages, should the unwitting enthusiast notice just how easy it is to contribute, and not notice that that is becoming obsesive, as it will definitly trigger a "wait thats wrong" response, like the one I am acting on NOW!
bizzare that someone should consider anything "endless" as an addiction treatment, no thats just a substitute that can be worse than.the disease it proports to cure
