Why does he feel that you can only get cheap incredible labor from outside the US? You can get incredible talent in the southern and midwest US for much less than SF prices, and probably find people who understand your mission and culture better. I guess a place like Cleveland isn't exotic enough for SF executives that market their B2B SaaS software around hiking.
Unfortunately, it is inline with my prediction [1] in 2025 that there will be more layoffs and with the WEF's Future of Jobs report.
Won't be surprised to see that Salesforce closely followed this and also was part of the survey.
