“Information density” isn’t the goal of podcasts. This is like complaining stand-up comedy takes too long and you’ll just read the subtitles file instead. Or that fish are the worst animals at rock climbing.
Go listen to some good, well produced podcasts like Heavyweight and S-Town. Then understand The Medium is the Message.
I guess it depends. Podcasts are often about story telling and story telling isn't about being information dense. Podcasts are hamburgers, which might be a good vehicle to deliver a piece of a vegetable into your body.
While the Tortoise has been listening so podcasts for years, and the Hare is still there with very serious and boring books on his perfectly dense shelf standing still.
Was there an AI tool recently in the news which creates a podcast episode based on a topic to learn? This is just a brilliant idea.
It’s an awful idea. To the surprise of no one, it makes up false information and presents it as fact.
