Why an increasing belief in alien visitations is a real-world problem

Real-world is an interesting concept in modern society. It reminds me of the ideas we see in the film Paprika (2008).

The internet (and AI) are much like dreams in that they impact our reality. The amount of time people spend looking at feeds on their phones creates thoughts and impacts a persons perception of the “real world”.

Not surprised more people believe in aliens … with these modern devices an odd form of shared (perhaps manipulated) version of reality emerges.

What is really “trending” What is really “news worthy”

What is the top issue affecting the EU or affecting Americans?

What is important?

What am I scared of?

How much of this is the “real world” how much of this is some odd blend of both?

It's just another religion, but one which is devoid of philosophy. Or maybe that's what attracts people to it.
