1. Other than (perhaps) the above exception, Soviet botany had no use for samizdat, since already realized (by etymology!) by time of great patriotic war (thanks Sv Nikolai (Fedorovich)?) that it was the N/S dichotomy, not the N/J dichotomy*, that needed to be bridged. (Sv Andrei (Nikolaevich))
