Not really. The vast majority of adults are not at all accountable in today's society. We blame.

Someone has never encountered bureaucracy I see. Human chains of responsibility manage to dissolve blame into nothingness all the time.

Blame is not the same thing as accountability

In situations where accountability is absolutely required, you will find that people are held accountable

Often they are scapegoats, but that is a different problem

Having a scapegoat take the fall doesn't count as `accountability` in my book.
