Someone should tell them that the US Social Security system will run out of cash in about a decade.
Just a reminder that the USA Federal Government hit the debt limit on Jan 21 and the Treasury is currently taking "extraordinary measures" to avoid a sovereign default. If/when this happens (currently projected for the end of March but much of the drama in the news could cause it to happen sooner), the Social Security Trust Fund (and your US Treasury Bills and FDIC insured savings) could be worth considerably less than before.
