I think it's challenging to recommend other people's work. For example, GitHub lacks a simple way to share personalized shoutouts, so I decided to build a solution: GitHub Kudos

GitHub Kudos is An app that generates an image featuring a GitHub user's avatar alongside a personalized recommendation written by you. My intention is that these images can be showcased in GitHub profiles, personal websites, or even shared on social media to highlight/share your recommendations to other developers, or to display how other developers recommend you.

If you want to see how it looks, check https://github.com/manuelarte#-people-i-recommend

If you have any ideas/feedback I would love to hear them. My goal is that GitHub Kudos is used to recommend other developers, but also helps showcase your collaborations and build a stronger professional presence. Hopefully this can help me and other developers in the tedious process of looking for recommendations when, for example, finding a new job.

Could we get some images or a link to an example kudos you gave someone?

Hi amingilani, if you check my profile you can see it, here is the link https://github.com/MANUELARTE#-people-i-recommend.

Or if you want to see the image only: https://github-kudos.com/manuelarte/kudos/mechero

this idea is interesting, but I can't seem to see any image on your GitHub profile showing the output. I'm on my phone - does it only work on desktop?

it should work also in the phone. At least I checked it in mine and it worked... Strange..

Did you try in any other device if you can see it? Could you try to check if you can see this image: https://github-kudos.com/manuelarte/kudos/octocat ?

If you are willing, you could give me a bit more details (maybe the model of your device), and I can try to look what's happening.
