Biden warns 'dangerous' oligarchy taking shape in farewell address

A few years ago he was happy to be the small few that commanded the tech companies.

America is already an oligarchy. Always has been.

At its creation America only recognized wealthy white men as entitled to vote.

Moreover, the inclusion of the electoral college and two Senators per state regardless of population into the design of the government, protected the power of the minority (e.g. the very top percentage of the wealthiest of citizens) against the tyranny of the masses.

Not much has changed in the ensuing ~250 years.

A different flavor of the only oligarchy

More like a broligarchy.
