There was an article just today in the new section of HN talking about how the labor market is contracting and the fact there are fewer and fewer people to do jobs now that immigration is tightening, and the working population is continuing to age-out. Companies are simply going to have to make do with less. AI and automation may allow them to do that. The gold mine is going to be in agricultural robots.
