U.S. considering ban on Chinese-made router and it's probably in yr home

I just bought an OpenWrt One router, from Bipai Corp. These are made in China. Would they be banned as well?

Also, is this a software or hardware vulnerability? If the former, installing OpenWrt will fix the problem. If this is a financial lubricant problem, then oh, well.
