26 days since I started testing my new product
On December 9th, I kicked off the beta of ProductDemo. It's a tool that lets you create interactive demos in just a few minutes. You can check it out here: https://productdemo.app.
In the first two weeks, I tried out a few different channels to grow my user base. Here's what I did: 1. Hacker News: It brought in my first users, but they didn't stick around for long. 2. Reddit: This channel drove way more traffic than Hacker News and gave me some lasting exposure.
Most users found the product really helpful, which I'm super excited about! I've started getting a ton of feedback. One of the bigger changes I made was to make the product look and work great on different screen sizes. I'm really thankful to everyone who has tried it out and shared their thoughts.
So, what's next for me? 1. I want to explore more marketing channels. I'm thinking about cold DMs and e-mail marketing as my starting points. 2. I'll be sending out weekly updates to my users about what's new with the product.
As an indie hacker, I believe that getting customer feedback and finding that PMF is more important right now than just chasing after more users. If you have any ideas or suggestions, feel free to get in touch with me (DM me)! You can find me on Twitter @timchen98. Thanks a lot!
