Show HN: Asak – cross-platform audio recording/playback CLI tool written in Rust

I'd love to see a tool to record while monitoring a backing track. Heck, I don't even mind if the sync isn't good because of latency as I have a manual syncing method when recording takes. I can't tell right off hand if this one can do this, nowadays I use whatever mess audacity is currently in.

Back before all this jack pulseaudio stuff I used to just have a routine where I'd play a backing track then record a new track.

play backingtrack & rec newtrack

occasionally I'd have to resync the new track to the backing track but I already sort of have a routine for that (and its mandatory for my current audacity version when recording takes).

I wish I could find a windows audio file command-line player program that can point to any output device, not just the default. If anyone knows about such a thing, please let me know. It seems that this Asak project is heading in that direction, but still not there. Thanks.
