On the other hand, we can hope that self-driving cars make streets safer for pedestrians and protesters by obeying speed limits, always watching the road, and never driving aggressively/threateningly even when antagonized.
Sorry, but this just doesn't paas the sniff test. Why do so many young people now assume that everyone in the world is out there to "get" them? How many of these conflicts can be resolved with a simple conversation? Young people decry the modern loneliness epidemic and come back with statements like this?
