It should be obvious to anyone with a brain that the invisible hand steals from your pocket without giving you healthcare that the rest of the world enjoys for cheaper because they don't let healthcare be completely gamified for profits over lives, suffering, and bankruptcy.

It's not that clear to me why it's like that though. Something about the political system that makes voting in a change harder? I'm a Brit and you can largely vote in a different government that can change everything if it has a decent majority but it doesn't seem to work that way in the US.

There was a study done by Princeton I think a while back that Americans people’s opinions has very little to do with what happens in congress.

Also, Europe adopted a lot of socially beneficial policies in wake of ww2. The US never had the devastation Europe had, so collective thought didnt form in the same way.

I don't doubt it.

But it's also worth noting that insurance companies will often report people as having diseases when they don't (or have since been cured), because they can then extract more revenue.

The only case I’ve heard of this happening is Medicare Advantage. (Companies “upcode” seniors while providing less care since they are paid per person)

In all other cases they’ll delay, defend and deny.

Are insurance companies even the primary data source for these kinds of reports?
