I bought one with the Magic Keyboard and returned it. The MK makes it into a laptop and that's not really what I want. The folio is perfect for me. It doesn't add much bulk, it can fold all the way around to be flat, it's easy to remove, and is nice to type on (IMHO).
So I'm back to using my well loved 2018 iPad Pro with the Smart Keyboard Folio. It's my favorite computer to work on. Not sure what I'm going to do when it finally dies. I don't think I'll have many options aside from giving in and getting a Magic Keyboard. To me, it seems to be the least worst option.

I still have a stack of things that I'd love to fix with Sugru, hoping that the old Sugru may someday be available again, or a good alternative could be found.
Thank you.
Thank you!
it's not the same formula by any means, but there's a large variety of putties with different properties.
my current go-to is "Polymeric Systems Kneadatite Blue/Yellow Epoxy Putty Tape 90cm Green Stuff"
Right now, I'd love to make a custom earpiece for my smartphone - something I've done with Sugru in the past. It needs the material to be relatively rigid yet pliable after curing. It also needs to be sticky enough to bond to the phone case (I don't bond them to the phone glass anymore).
Thank you!
I wouldnt consider it pliable after curing.
Also, superglue should be kept away from plastic that you'd want to keep pristine. The fumes could make the surface foggy. Great for gluing things you're going to paint anyway though.
I've seen people mend hockey stick blades with it, so it can definitely hold up to a beating. It seems to be a little elastic, so lasts well as long as the bond to the underlying material is good.
> superglue activator spray
I had no idea this even existed. I typically lightly sand pieces.Thank you.
Thank you.
YMMV, it appears to be dependent on what style of silicone caulking you use.

4-pin connector on the tablet, when looking at the back of the tablet.. (from left to right): ground, data, data, +12v.. two data lines (3v3 logic levels). Couldn't determine the signal type, but it was some kind of differential signalling - could still be USB or maybe UART.. The tablet charges just fine with 12V applied to the connectors!
Upcoming 2025 Apple Intelligence HomePad for smart home security control is expected to compete with Amazon Echo Show, with optional wall attachments and speaker base, later to be followed by $1K+ robotic arm, https://9to5mac.com/2024/11/13/apples-new-homepad-is-exactly...> they should just literally copy Google's Pixel Tablet strategy. iPads already have the connector pins, just give them a "Home Mode" for when connected to any of these special docks. Otherwise it's a stripped down iPad Mini
· portable case
· dedicated USB-c charging port
· tablet USB-c port remains available
· not vulnerable to bluetooth security weakness
