I just launched roast.design, a project where I help indie hackers, startup founders, and creators improve their websites by offering a free video roast of their site. Here's what I'm offering:
Completely free website roasts! Just submit your website, and I’ll send you a personalized video with honest feedback and actionable tips.
No strings attached—I’m doing this to genuinely help people level up their sites.
Personal goal: I want to get better at talking in front of a camera, and this project helps me practice while doing something productive.
I know how much effort goes into building a website, but sometimes a fresh pair of eyes can catch the things you might have missed. Whether it’s design quirks, confusing UX, or content issues, I’ll call it out (but in a constructive, non-brutal way).
A bit about me: I’ve been a web designer for 12 years, with some coding experience and a bit of background in startups. I’ve worked on a mix of projects over the years and love helping people make websites that are clear and easy to use. This project is a way for me to share what I know while getting better at presenting ideas on video.
Future plans for roast.design:
Upgrade my gear with a better mic and camera.
Add testimonials and more roast examples as the site grows.
Maybe introduce deeper dives into specific topics like usability, accessibility, or SEO.
If this sounds helpful, check it out! I’d love to see what you’re working on and provide feedback.
Also, if you have any advice for improving my roasts or just want to chat about website design, I’m all ears!
Cheers, Madalin
