I donated! I occasionally came across some broken links, but they were fixed in due course. This site is one of the treasures of the Internet.
An amazing site, a real treasure. The covers are something else: lurid, sometimes very amateurish, but still wonderful. Plenty of pulp but also some very good stories, well written, by great writers. I feel we've lost something over the past four decades.
I downloaded this 1926 issue of Amazing Stories (https://s3.us-west-1.wasabisys.com/luminist/SF/AS/AS_1926_04...), and my idea of the 1920's has already shifted a little. The influence of 'radio' on the public's imagination is something I hadn't quite appreciated. The word 'scientifiction' is interesting. Thanks for the link.
There's also archives of New Worlds and Amazing Stories (and no doubt much more) on archive.org. If you like older SF, worth a look. Modern and contemporary SF often just re-treads, only worse, some great stories from the past.
