Yeah I agree. But in that case, people with a passion for their work make better employees. A good interview process is actively looking to select people like that.

Remembering bugs is not necessarily and indicator for passion. I know I love what I do, and have since I was really young, but I do not keep track of bugs or even feats—they just become a rolling base of knowledge (experience). At least in my case, it is just how my brain works.

You’re saying something different from what I said. While they sound similar, “a passion for your work” is not the same as “your passion is your work”. It’s similar to the difference between “I like that hobby and put effort into it” and “this hobby is the love of my life”.
