I'm not surprised, and frankly this has been happening in the US for years. Every time some guy goes apeshit with an AR-15, we chalk it up to "mental illness", but it looks more like "revenge on society" to me.
Likewise election results that incumbent parties didn't see coming, but might have if their reason was not clouded by complacency and groupthink.
