Smart Dating Assistant – AI-Powered Help for Better Matches and Conversations

Hey hackers

I’ve been working on an AI-powered dating assistant designed to help improve profiles, suggest messages that get replies, and provide guidance in real-time—all based on insights from 30k+ real dating interactions. The goal? To help people level up their dating experience.

We’re excited to share an early-access beta test where you can try out some core features directly.

Try it here: https://bit.ly/beta_hn_vip_invite

I’m around to answer questions, get your feedback, and discuss ideas for improvement. Looking forward to building something great together!

This is not what society needed. This is literally a South Park plotline. But maybe stuff like this will just slowly cause dating apps to fade into irrelevance and force people to find better ways to meet others. So maybe there's an upside?

We hope that new alternatives will emerge, but there is a specific group of individuals who truly believe these tools can help boost their confidence.

In contrast, we believe apps like Rizz are not only superficial, but also fail to provide a personalized or meaningful experience. We see a unique opportunity to make a real difference in this niche market.

We invite you to apply and try it for yourself. The journey ahead is long, but we're excited about the potential we have to create something better

There are few things as significant and human as trying to find a partner. Gotta persevere the sanctity of that. All the best!

Maybe an upside is that it will be chatting the other bots / smart dating assistants.

In seriousness, online dating becoming completely useless as a dating tool is probably an upside to society.

(Online dating is still useful as a tool for money extraction. Just not for dating.)

On the one hand, you say that this will help you discover your "unique voice" and yet in your post: "suggest messages that get replies". So your prospective match isn't getting to know you, it's getting to know an LLM.

How is this better than the classic bait-and-switch of using a fake or heavily doctored profile pic, except now it's extended to even the user's personality?

Great question! Our approach isn't to replace the user’s personality but to enhance their natural communication.

Think of it as a guide helping you express yourself more effectively, especially if you're shy or unsure how to start. The messages are tailored to reflect your unique voice and style as much as possible.

It’s about building confidence and fostering authentic conversations, not masking who you are. We are not yet but with time we think we will get there

Reminds me of Rob Rhinehart's (Soylent Founder) article: "High Frequency Dating" from 11 years ago.

That is a really cool reference!

Aren't there a lot of apps like this already, like Rizz? I just read this thread about them on reddit [0], looks like they're making ~200k MRR but it's a race to the bottom as the idea is fairly easy to execute on, it's just an AI API wrapper.

Skeptical that this will be a "good" experience for everyone involved considering how generic AI openers/responses are, but also hopeful that it can reduce friction for some.

Excited to see what y'all cook up.

This might be our greatest differentiator.

We are trying to make it as personalized to you as possible. Currently, it is still limited, but we seek as much context of the user and the matches to personalize each message over time.

Please apply to check it out!

Why do you feel like this will improve the dating experience?

For nerd like me, this can reduce the level of awkward.

Please apply! We would love to have you as a beta tester!

Many people struggle with awkwardness and lack of confidence when it comes to dating.

Our goal is to help you amplify who you are, and discover your unique voice and style, all while providing personalized dating coaching.

By boosting your confidence in what you're saying and doing, we believe you’ll naturally see more matches, secure dates, and ultimately build meaningful relationships.

Please apply and try it out yourself! We would love your feedback.

So someone lacking the confidence to even chat online with someone they've matched with will be able to use your AI magic wand to send incredible messages and get a date.

And what do you suppose would happen when their match actually meets this unconfident person in real life?

What a waste of everyone's time.
