Obligatory, this should be a PWA.

But also, the Privacy Policy page has Amazon ads using a generic search for "router with vpn"?

PWA: I agree, but the look and feel of native is just better. Additionally I‘m also planning widgets and these are just easier to implement if the rest is already native.

Privacy Policy: I‘m using an external service that I‘m paying for monthly to host that. With the payment, there shouldn‘t be any ads, but looks like they‘re still shown. Will definitely spin up something on my own on Cloudflare pages or similar, thanks for the heads up!

It does look good, definitely agree.

How does sync across iPad and iPhone work? Apple servers or what? Ideally that would be spelled out for privacy-conscious users.

The sync uses native iCloud, so completely isolated and I have no way to look into any other account data, so this is completely handled by Apple :) I‘m also planning to optimze the app for iPad and add a macOS version as well in the future

Can you point me to some native-level feeling PWAs that you regularly use, or even know of? Genuinely curious as an iOS native developer for a decade+.

99% of the apps I use in my iPhone doesn't look native, they are all webview nowdays.
