First artwork painted by humanoid robot to sell at auction fetches $1M

The question here is: Is this art?

That aside, $1M for questionable art is reminder that for a select few the economies of the world are still doing well. Money is still available, cheap and burnable. And those winning have a shameless sense of legacy.

Put another way, $1M could buy college / trade school for 20 to 50 people.

People are concerned we might "lose" to AI? We don't even stand a chance

“ Portrait of English mathematician Alan Turing was created by Ai-Da, one of the most advanced robots in the world”.

Im highly sceptical it was “painted”… but would love to see it in action. Perhaps this will be the next iteration from the NFT crowd
