Accepting the eventual collapse of any given civilization is one thing, that’s kind of a “death or taxes” thing… accepting the imminent collapse of a dominant civilization is another, especially when it’s something a minority of the population (but a majority of the actual voters) in that civilization seem to “democratically” want.
