This is also one of those places [0] where when you do break the data up by age, women end up with less wealth in both brackets. $218k in the over-65-single-men bracket and $173k in the over-65-single-woman-no-children bracket.
So the data actually shows the opposite of the headline: single women have less wealth than their single male peers.
