Few people grasp the amount of effort Daniel Gackle (dang) expends running HN (2020)

When I first came to this site, I had just quit Reddit. I got into a nationalistic flamebaiting comment thread with a nationalist flamebait comment, and dang told me off for it. It made me realise that I'd brought things I didn't like about Reddit to this site, and that conversations here could be better, if I let them. Thanks dang, I appreciate you.

Thank you Daniel for your good work over all these years! I know the tweet/X is from 2020, but still valid.

Thanks dang, we couldn’t do it without you.
