Is There a Crisis of Seriousness?

When I hear Serious People talk about "something much much stronger" I reach for my Dada: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dada

You know, I never thought I'd hear a lack of seriousness used to defend a business like Apple when they work against the interests of their users. This guy goes through the entire essay promoting his thesis of how non-seriousness arises from businesses ignoring humanist elements in their design processe, and then gives Apple a free pass because of course they're inhuman, everyone is! Not even a loop-around to the implications this has on their business.

Really, uh... interesting takeaway. Makes me feel like I'm not missing out on quality content by avoiding Substack like a cognitohazard.
