Apple should have gone the Playstation way and release a new Mx every 6 years or so, it's not like people require so much processing power. The intersection of hardware power vs software consumption was about 10 years ago. Only VR gear is lagging. Though I can't complain about being able to buy renewed Intel Macs for under $200.
The release time from M1 to M4 is getting faster and faster, and in recent years, the release speed of M2/M3/M4 has been very fast
Expected is Spring 2025.
Analysts suggest that March 2025 is a likely target for the launch, aligning with Apple's historical pattern of releasing new MacBook models during that month.
